How legit are the advertisment for doing paid surveys online?

I always recieve email saying”you’ll recieve 500 dollars for doing this survey” so does anyone know if they are as fake as they sound?

They are fake, advertising does not need to spend 500 dollars to understand people’s individual choices. If offers sound to good to be true it usually is. Let me put it this way, if these survey sites were offering the tens of thousands of dollars, there would be a flood of people taking them, thus pushing down the pay outs. Simple economics.
